| O-M-F-G!!!!!!!!!! Remind me never to buy anything from ATI ever AGAIN!!!!!!!!! Ok, remember cano a few weeks ago (idk how long for sure) I told you that I thought my video card was dying? I got a few BSOD's, you said reseat the card and reinstall the drivers etc. well it stopped blue screening so I never did anything. well it started doing it again the other day so I reseated the card. that didn't help. so I just tried to reinstall the driver. I uninstalled it, I rebooted into safe mode and ran driver sweeper. rebooted again and tried to reinstall the driver. The problem is it won't reinstall. I've tried a few times now and every time it won't install. it installs that LOTR-online bs or w/e but the driver itself fails. I'm going to try on older version... I think I still have the last driver lying around here. |

| Remember that removal tool I sent you rambo? try using that - http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1275I had a similiar problem with the drivers on this laptop, no BSOD's but I couldn't get any drivers or CCC to install after removing the old ones, that removal tool sorted it out. Good luck |

| The removal tool didn't work. I hope I don't have to reformat, I hate doing it lol Strange thing though, after running the tool and restarting, I went to try and install the driver, and the one I tried said "installer integrity check failed" but I know it worked last night... maybe my hard drive is corrupt :affraid: I tried a different one and the installer worked but still can't install the driver I'll try re downloading the driver but instead of saving it on my HD I will save it directly to a USB drive |

| Or what about a system restore point? would I be able to get the old driver back if I use a restore point? |

| I never use system restore, it would be my last option if all else failed... try with that tool a few times, it didn't work for me at first then it just randomly did.. Try to install the driver only without CCC too.. other than that idk :l bring it here and I'll fix it |

| I think you should buy 64gb SSD for OS and a few games and why would you need another 580? For 3D? lol.. I bet you don't use 3D much.. |

other than that idk :l bring it here and I'll fix it Ummm, I already tried system restore I used a really recent one. one got made like day before yesterday because I used Revo uninstaller and it makes a restore point every time it uninstalls something sooo... It worked I think. I'm back at my native res anyway. xD Its funny, it was set on the res I always used to use, 1024 x 768 or w/e. but now I just can't stand it after using it at a high res for so long. and I don't use CCC. after the last time I had trouble with my 5770 I started using driver only. after I ran the tool it said I needed to restart so I figured it had worked... If all else fails I might just have to bring it over to you D; I wouldn't mind seeing England anyway. |

| Just got windows installed ;x Trying to get used to the weird bios and different overclocking methods now D; Just did a quick test to make sure my temps are alright and I think I need to remount the cooler one of the cores is always 10c less than the rest, a few degrees is normal but 10 is a bit much right? :l I can't be bothered taking out the motherboard and remounting the heatsink though ;x - nvm I seen your temps are the same, first core almost 10c lower :l btw Andrew, the bluetooth on these boards is pretty good eh? able to monitor temps etc, switch your pc off and lots of other stuff on an android phone or w/e. I had a quick look at the android app on my mothers phone, seems good - Spoiler:
EDIT: lulz, 5ghz. Just thought I'd see how easy it was to start up at 5ghz, no problems :l Havn't tried with lower voltage yet since I wont be staying at 5ghz ;x - Spoiler:

| not bad cpu, mine need 1.300 for 4500mhz, but never boot at 50x100 with 1.450. Anyway we have same oc parameter.
i7 2600k are better for oc over 4500 |

| Are you sure it wasn't another setting stopping it from booting? Most will boot at 5ghz with 1.45v I'm testing my daily OC right now, running Prime95 I hate waiting. Only two hours into the test at 4.5ghz 1.256v under load, 1.280v idle and 53c max temp. I disabled speedstep etc though, I hate down clocking ;x Once I have this stable I will see how high it can go |

| When i try the boot at 5ghz the gigabyte don't have the speedstep PLL enable, i think it locked the bood....
anyway good result 1.256 under load, so in to the bios what is the vcore setting?

| It's 1.285v in bios, 1.280 idle after vdroop and 1.256 under load ;x I might be able to go lower but I will test first and if it passes, then I will lower vcore and test again ;x btw do you have a PLL overvoltage option? I've heard that enabling it can help you boot at 5ghz if you are having trouble ;] I didn't need to though |

| eheheh i was wrong to write first, not speedstep but PLL oc :PPP, anyway i've try with pll off and the pc don't boot. And i don't have patience for try another test XDDDD Anyway the asus have high vdroop...For ex. i have in bios 1.300 and the cpu under load 1.284 and idle is 1.296. So asus and other mainboard can set the vdrop (high medium and low) gigabyte don't have this option .... waiting for EFI bios |

| The vdroop isn't to bad, well not as bad as LGA775 etc I have the LLC option set to high btw, it has regular, medium, high, ultra high and extreme options ;o So lots of choice for tuning your vcore You should of got Asus ;x |

| ehehe i like gigabyte this is my first different main from asus (a7n8x-deluxe, p5q-deluxe, maximus formula x38, rampage 2 extreme and more and more). The only one defect is old bios but the gigabyte works for it.
Anyway for lga1155 all main are similar the only change is the RMA support and constructor quality, for italy gigabyte and asus are the best all other brand have poor management of the RMA, bacause is managed by offices in Germany or UK or USA |
