| trolololo Just seen this posted on OCN, such a fail. http://www.amd.com/US/PRODUCTS/TECHNOLOGIES/RADEON-MEMORY/Pages/system-memory.aspx"ULTRAPRO Gaming" 1600Mhz 11-11-11!? lol Quotes from OCN - Quote :
- Ha! Even their RAM is slow!

- I have been thinking about it since I first saw
this a few hours ago and I am guessing that someone at AMD was working part time as a sanitation engineer and stumbled across the dumpster at Kingston, where they throw all the crap they wouldn't want their branding associated with, and saw a bonanza. Much like this fiasco, I am assuming this same dumpster driver, found the reject pile of C2Q's and thought rebranding them PH1's would be a company saving windfall. |

| lol Ultrapro gaming EDIT: Almost forgot to ask. What GPU would you prefer - GTX580 or GTX460 SLI? Or some other - 560ti, 590 (SLI?) ? Which of them is good for 2010/2011 PC games? Your opinion. |

| I think same, but what about 560Ti, its the latest model, but I guess is not much powerful as 580, right? I have to read more reviews, can't watch performance comparison videos 'cuz of internet speed |

| 560 Ti isn't worth the upgrade from a 460 tbh, I'd rather have two 460's than a 560 If you just want best card then get 580 If you want to save some money get another 460.. btw http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/314?vs=305But, you must work something out, how much can you sell 460 for and how much does a new 580 cost in Ukraine? vs How much another 460 costs, 460 option is probably cheaper but sometimes SLI can be annoying, doesn't work with every game, last time I ran SLI I had to disable it every time I played swat, otherwise I got stuttering :l Depends on the games you play whether the money saved outweighs the slight annoyance of SLI... alsooo if you were a member of a forum like OCN or something, you could buy a cheap used 460 ;x |

| Niceeee, well I am a member of OCN, but last time I was there half year ago maybe (also 0 posts xD). But, here in UA new GTX460 costs - 200$ (I bought my for 220$), and new GTX580 - 500-600$ (different brands). And I know I can sell my card for 180$. Yes, If I buy 2nd 460 it would be cheaper, but..... I think that 580 is 580 LOL And thanks about 560Ti, didn't know that.
Ohhh and about that benchmark, I already checked it, and if you remember you gave me the reviews link about detailed comparison of the performance of two cards. But If I'll buy 580, so maybe laaater I could buy another one = SLI. |

| Hmmm hm hm really, now I see, the difference is really small. But 560Ti is 256 bit vs 384 bit of 580.
Good thing that 560Ti SLI costs like only one of GTX 580, (480-500$ vs 500-600$ here). I'm going to read a little more reviews about 560Ti, but something is wrong with 560Ti.... I don't know. |

| Well as those benchmarks show, the memory width difference doesn't really matter in those situations, I think it would only be necessary at like 2560x1440 on something like a 27" U2711 or running 3D ;x
But if you just want best single card, buy the GTX580 naowww :D I would. maybe.. if I could resist 560Ti SLI ;x |

| Understood. If I will be able to sell my 460 as soon as possible, then I gotta buy 580, if not, then just 2nd 460. P.S. Do you play SWAT these days? I miss SWAT so much, gotta play undercover first couple of days, when I come back |

| So start playing nabs. Btw, if anyone cares, I would go with the 560Ti SLI. Only reason to get a 580 is to show off like pink. |

| I'm thinking about trying to hit 1000 MHz with my 5770. Last time I tried though I got screen artifacts at 990 MHz. I'm pretty sure I can do it if I over-volt it, but I've never done that before. |

| Nothing to worry about, can't really kill a GPU overclocking, only when you start increasing voltage, just keep within safe limits when you do increase it you shouldn't need much more to hit 1ghz anyway. My old 5850 used to run 1050mhz That said though... Isn't your card kinda faulty? Do you still get the BSOD's or w/e? and andrew.. when you asked was it GTS 450, it was D; I sent it back, he tested it and said it works fine, so he sent it back to me, I test again on a clean windows 7 install, with just basic drivers, still locked up with artifacts Sooo I tried testing lots of stuff and ended up underclocking the memory by 70mhz and it works perfectly with underclocked vram.. So, it's a faulty card.. I'm sending it back again tomorrow lol.. I made a copy of the bios and edited the memory clocks so it works properly now.. but still, I paid for a working card, not a card with degraded vram ;l |

I haven't had a BSOD for a while. I turned the screen saver off and disabled window transparency. But the display driver still locks up when I'm watching a movie or using Miro to download torrents. I figured out though that it only does it if the GPU is idle or almost idle. So what I do is use the F@H GPU client to keep the GPU busy and presto! No more crashed drivers or BSOD's. I'm still not sure if its the card that's faulty or my win 7 just doesn't like AMD. Or maybe its the mobo that doesn't like AMD... Bah, I still plan on jumping ship back to Nvidia sometime in the near future anyway. |

| Hmm that would drive me insane, I wouldn't stop until I fixed it ;x Have you tried changing the idle clocks/voltage? Maybe read up on ATI bios editing/flashing Didn't you have any luck with forcing constant 3D mode? I remember you trying something but I can't remember exactly.. :l I got a refund for that GTS450 today btw :l I actually "fixed" it too, flashed the bios with the memory clock 70mhz slower and it ran fine, I should of charged the seller for repairing it! Now I'm temped to spend the refund on a SSD :l Crucial is having a sale on refurbs, I can get a 64gb C300 for £46 delivered, they are around £85 new, only thing putting me off is that you only get a 30 day warranty on refurbs.. |

| Yeah, I tried to use ATI tray tools to force the clocks but it seemed to cause more BSOD's than if I left it alone so I gave up on that. I thought about flashing the bios but never did it. |
